As of right now, only users based in the European Union are able to use Apcora, thanks to The Digital Markets Act
Users must be physically located in the EU in order to install Apcora and any apps distributed through your store. Users can travel outside the EU and will still be able to use their apps. After 30 days outside of the EU, the user will no longer be able to install new updates to their apps, but can keep using the currently installed versions of their apps.
We anticipate that access to alternative app stores like Apcora will be opened up to other countries as more territories enact fair-market and pro-competition legislation reducing Apple's ability to gatekeep iOS.
Apcora features enterprise-level security protecting access to your app store. We are working towards SOC 2 certification.
The apps you distribute through your app store are not reviewed by Apcora. It is your responsibility to ensure the apps you distribute are malware-free.
As of right now, Apcora is supported on iPhones running iOS 17.4 and above. This means all iPhones released since late 2018.
iPads are currently not supported since Apple has not yet been required to open up iPad OS to alternative app stores, though this is likely to change soon.
Apcora is not intended for developing public app stores. It is intended for distribution of private, internal apps to a managed, limited audience. This audience may be employees, partners, franchisees, clients, members or affiliates.
